FLORJAs Success Stories
City of The Haag (NL)

Goal

Utilize technology to continuously achieve optimal maintenance and monitoring of urban plantings with little effort.

The city of The Hague aimed to significantly reduce water consumption in the city. As a first step, a pilot project was set up to identify and implement savings potential.

Approach

3 streets were "networked" with 10 sensors each. A comparison with the previous year's data (water per tree, use of third-party service providers) provided clear results over the 4-month period.

Result

Over a period of 4 months, 300,000 liters of water and over €50,000 in third-party service costs were saved in 3 streets. In the future, irrigation planning and implementation will be managed and also controlled with real-time data.
